Announcing The 99ers™ 25th Anniversary Collection

July 10th marks 25 years since the USWNT’s historic World Cup win at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena. To commemorate this moment, State Champs and Foudys have partnered with the team to create a limited-edition collection of merch honoring The 99ers™.

Each piece was designed and created in collaboration with the players and commemorates the moment that forever changed the sports landscape and inspired generations of fans all around the world.

As a woman-owned brand, we are proud to honor this pivotal moment in women’s sports with a special collection dedicated to the team and the fans they have inspired.

For us, this collection has extra special significance as we were both young girls recreating that Kristine Lilly header and that iconic penalty kick by Brandi Chastain at recess. 

This collection celebrates all 20 players and the big moments that made up the 1999 tournament. The colors and fonts are a nod to the 1999 World Cup as well as the 90’s era fashion and styles.

For this project, The 99ers ™ chose to work with female-led small businesses working specifically in women’s sports to create the designs and fulfill the products via their online stores. 

Foudys, founded by Helen Hardy, is the world's first official women’s soccer store with brand partnerships ranging from Nike to Adidas to Puma. Foudys sells only women’s soccer related items including the USWNT jersey. State Champs is a brand and the first of its kind sports coffee shop, focused on creating community-based streetwear and creating merchandise that highlights moments, athletes, and special events across sport. We are led by Ally Eclarin and Cassy Kopp and based in NE Ohio.
